Offer Description

The research activity, within the project A Question of Honor: Duels in Italian Culture from the Risorgimento to Fascist Period, between Imaginary, Representation, and Reality (Prin 2022), will consist in the search for images and representations of the theme of the duel and of the questions of honor in Italian literature, from the Risorgimento to the Fascist period. The research field includes narrative, poetic, epistolary, theatrical and operatic texts and the iconography related to the theme, through a careful work of bibliographic and archival investigation, in libraries, archive funds and online. The research fellow will also have to collaborate in setting up the project website and related social channels, in close contact and strong synergy with the other members of the research group.

Eligibility criteria

-Master's Degree in Modern Philology (LM 14), or Specialist Degrees or equivalent old system degrees as per the Interministerial Decree of 07/09/2009, or equivalent foreign qualifications, preferably with a thesis in Italian literature; - PhD with a thesis in Italian literature, preferably on issues of Italian literary history of the 19th or early 20th centuries; - Proven experience in research on archival, bibliographic and documentary sources in the field of Italian literature of the 19th and early 20th centuries; - Knowledge of the main IT tools for literary research, of the basics of website editing and of the main social networks.
