ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and DUTIES
· Oversee a comprehensive program including all initiatives that support the successful planning and implementation of the TJC Promise program.
· Work with school district superintendents and high school counselors to ensure that the Promise program strengthens the college going culture and prepares students for college.
· Partner with TJC departments to develop and implement the program including planning of administrative support for Promise scholarship recipients attending TJC.
· Develop promotional materials including brochures, e-mail blasts, social media and web presence in support of program.
· Plan activities and events that broaden awareness of the TJC Promise and recruit and retain students.
· Engage alumni and friends to support the program through volunteer opportunities.
· Work with high schools in tracking and providing student data required for eligibility.
· Develop and maintain a database to track program cohorts within participating high schools.
· Oversee official appeals process.
· Lead development of overall resource plan to support all aspects of program.
· Develop and track budget.
· Represent TJC to the College's constituencies.

· Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams in planning and implementing activities and events.
· Working knowledge of computer programs and understanding of and comfort with current technology.
· Supports mission, philosophy and values of Tyler Junior College.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Education/Experience
· Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred Education/Experience
· Three to five years' experience working with a scholarship program preferred.
EXPECTATIONS
· Perform other duties as assigned.
· Will have contact – in person, by email, or by phone – with staff, students, and the general public.
· Must exhibit a sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of staff and students and to staff and students with disabilities.
Travel
Must have and maintain a current valid Texas driver's license and an acceptable driving record
