Description
Directs the day-to- day financial and logistical operations of the Law Center global and graduate programs. This includes overall program management, prospective and current student counseling, strategic marketing, student recruitment, student programming, and statistical reporting and database management.

This posting is for a position at the University of Houston Law Center to function as a staff director in the position of Director of Global & Graduate Programs (“DG&GP”). The position reports to the Law Center's Executive Director of Global & Graduate Programs (“EDG&GP”). The position has responsibility for ensuring that activities and projects undertaken by the office of Global & Graduate Programs run smoothly across various functions within the Law Center. The position has particular responsibility for LL.M. recruitment, working with international students, and interacting with the following areas for Law Center students in the LL.M. program: admissions; student services; and advising and counseling for career development and bar preparation. The position will need to become expert in a variety of accounting, student data, financial and administrative systems used by UH and the Law Center. From time to time other duties may be assigned to the position related to students or alumni by the EDG&GP.
A strong candidate will have the following skills: Excellent professional business communications skills, both as to writings and interactive communications; proficiency with personal productivity software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel; experience with software systems for recordkeeping; project management skills; and collaboration and team building skills. The J.D. degree and/or work experience as an attorney can accrue time toward the five year experience requirement in this posting; additionally, attorney work experience will often be deemed directly job-related to the position requirements. Candidates without a J.D. or Master's degree will be considered, with sufficient applicable experience. The position offers excellent benefits. Qualifications
Bachelors and 5 years experience
Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Graduate degree preferred. Experience: Requires a minimum of five (5) years of directly job-related experience.
Salary: 5,792.00 - 7,675.00
