Role Overview

Fisker Inc is looking for Director of Finance to join their leadership team. This role will provide strategic financial leadership, traditional financial planning and analysis such as financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader and doer, overseeing all aspects of financial planning, analysis and modeling, accounting, and will sit on the leadership team. This role will work closely with cross-functional partners so it is particularly important the candidate have excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and be adaptable to the changing needs of the business and be able to take on new responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements

  • Oversee and lead all financial, project/program and accounting.

  • Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors and the finance committee of the board of directors; assess any changes necessary.

  • Oversee and lead annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and budgets; monitor progress and changes; and keep senior leadership team abreast of the organization's financial status.

  • Manage organizational cash flow and forecasting.

  • Update and implement all necessary business policies and accounting practices; improve the finance department's overall policy and procedure manual.

  • Effectively communicate and present the critical financial matters to the board of directors.

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the administrative and business areas of the company

  • Ensure effective financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting

  • Implement and maintain robust administrative processes and policies to support efficient operations

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize administrative procedures and enhance overall productivity

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective coordination and alignment of business operations

  • Monitor compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external

  • Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance

  • 10+ years of professional accounting or finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • CPA strongly recommended

  • Past experience as a Controller or Director of Finance preferred

  • Strong knowledge of accounting software's, including SAP

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Problem solver with the ability to take the initiative and figure out how to get projects done.

  • Sound judgment and good problem-solving capabilities.

  • Ability to instill discipline in the organization and help advise leadership team.

  • Team-oriented by nature, with a collaborative, inclusive, and hands-on leadership style.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites such as Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

  • Expected Salary Range : $122,000- $144,000 per year

    Additional compensation : Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

    Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.

    The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.

Launched in 2016 and based in Southern California, Fisker Inc. is the successor to Fisker Automotive, which produced the Fisker Karma. Fisker Inc. is developing the Fisker Ocean, an electric sport utility vehicle (SUV) with an estimated range of 300–350 miles (480–560 km), with production expected to begin in late 2022.
