our new project being developed with Square Enix; Bifrost, Victoria and Dagger

Job Description
To manage the development of our new groundbreaking VR titles based on Unreal
Engine we are looking for an experienced, talented and passionate Development
Director (VR) who understands all areas of game production and clearly
focuses on delivering a top-quality game experience.
Being part of the VR team within PCF Group structures you will be reporting
directly to the Head of VR taking into account the Group's organizational
dependencies and taking on responsibility for ensuring the creative vision of
the game is executed to a high standard on all VR platforms within given
priorities of time, budget, and quality. The role is a leadership position
which will involve creating, implementing, and continuously improving highly
effective processes, tools, and development methodologies that provide smooth
production throughout the whole development cycle, from the analysis, initial
planning, risk assessment, gate definition, monitoring progress, shipping and
post-release management across all VR projects. We are looking above all else
for an exceptional communicator working both with top management and
development teams.
What You'll Do:
Collaborate with key stakeholders (like Publishing, Top Management, Biz
Dev, Production Center of Excellence) on project portfolio level
Managing and monitoring project portfolio including i.e.: budget, staffing
plan, dependencies between projects, projects' schedules
Collaborate with key project leaders to decompose the project's production
vision into the exact deliverables, define execution strategy and success
metrics; develop and drive plans to execute against Milestones and key
deliverables
Set up team organization and define and implement processes, practices and
workflows to enable the team to deliver high-quality work on schedule and
within budget
Determine the resources needed to meet the production schedule and quality
requirements and play an active role in hiring and recruiting. Help
identify candidates, perform remote interviews, set onsite agendas, and
assist in the final decision-making process
Review Creative and Technical Design Documents for the project to identify
foreseeable issues/concerns and to provide recommendations where
appropriate
Support Implementation and usage of PCF's Development Framework in the
project
Outsourcing needs and establishing outsourcing pipelines together with
given partners
Manage, coach, mentor and develop production staff to ensure growth,
expand the talent base and build a succession bench
Led a team of Producers dedicated to the project
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in the gaming industry with experience building
VR, Mobile or AA PC/console games (both UE and Unity engines)
4+ years of experience delivering games as a Lead Producer, Executive
Producer or Development Director
Proven ability to communicate effectively with any member of the
development team (Production, Art, Engineering, Audio)
Deep knowledge of production tools and strong capabilities in project
management software (e.g., MS Office Suite, Jira/G-Suite, Confluence,
etc.)
Expertise in building games using a distributed development framework
Capable of balancing a project's creative and visual requirements within
schedule, budget and staff limitations
Proven skills in portfolio management
A cool-headed, diplomatic leader able to maintain critical confidentially
and to have crucial, and at times, sensitive, conversations
Nice to Have:
A Bachelor's Degree or higher education degree
Experience with large-scale development using UE4
