About the role:
The Business Intelligence Service, sits within the Strategic Planning and Performance Directorate, it is responsible for key student related statutory returns and the data for national and strategic surveys, and provides data insights throughout the University to assess our performance and to make informed decisions.
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Data Quality Officer to join our team working on data for both internal and statutory purposes. We welcome applications from someone with strong analytical skills, who has a keen eye for detail, who is confident working with data and has a determination to drive forward improvements in data quality across the institution.
The role will involve working collaboratively with a range of key stakeholders across the University, establishing yourself as an expert adviser and explaining the requirements and implications of data errors to improve the institutional understanding of data.
As part of your role, you will be expected to work proactively, conducting a rolling programme of periodic data quality reviews, focussing on common audit issues and on key data items which impact funding, league table performance and national Performance Indicators. You will also be expected to develop and maintain a series of data quality QlikView reports, ensuring that they facilitate the timely identification and correction of data quality issues.
With a relevant degree or professional qualification appropriate to the specific role being appointed to, you will have advanced analytical skills and experience of using a range of tools and advanced techniques combined with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Anglia Ruskin University is amongst the most prestigious universities located in East Anglia, United Kingdom. The origins of the university can be traced back to the year 1858 when John Ruskin founded the Cambridge School of Art. With time, the Essex Institute of Higher Education merged with Cambridgeshire College of Arts and Technology to form Anglia Polytechnic.
