Primary Duties and
Responsibilities:
A collaborative position between the Curb College and the Office of Strategic
Venues & Event Services, this role provides coordination and supervision of
experiential learning and related opportunities involving live event and venue
management activities of the Mike Curb College of Entertainment and Music
Business.
Assist administration, faculty, and staff on coordination of experiential
learning opportunities related to Curb College Live Events.
Provide leadership, support, and guidance for students involved in the
Belmont Showcase Series, Curb College shows and events, seminars, and
other University events as assigned.
Assist Curb College faculty and Strategic Venues personnel in developing
experiential learning opportunities in the university's strategic venues.
Act as a liaison with Curb College and the Office of Strategic Venues &
Event Services to enlist, promote, and coordinate experiential learning
opportunities within the university's strategic venues.
Supervise and mentor student production teams including the Showcase
Series artist, application and selection process, production budgeting and
planning meetings, and onsite show and event execution.
Develop, manage, and maintain beneficial internal and external
relationships such as university event services partners, vendors,
equipment suppliers and manufacturers.
Manage production and coordination of Curb College special events and
other events with internal and external partners.
Collaborate with Curb College Enrichment Coordinator on student events and
co-curricular programming with specific interest in experiential learning
and professional development opportunities in venue and event management.
Collaborate with Event Services leadership to support and help facilitate
the development of a student training and workforce pipeline from the Curb
College to the Office of Strategic Venues & Event Services.

Required Qualifications : Belmont University seeks to attract and retain

Marketing, promotion, coordination skills and ability to manage live
events or equivalent.
Knowledge of live event production practices, including concert/event
production.
Ability to learn, understand and comply with state, local, and federal
regulations regarding student privacy.
Ability to oversee student teams and to lead effectively in a dynamic,
faith-based educational, collaborative environment.
Ability to advise, train, motivate, and empower student staff.
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with students, staff, and
faculty.
Effective use of standard computer office software including Office 365
and Mac OS.
Must be articulate and effective with both oral and written communication.
Must have strong organizational and project management skills.
Required Education Bachelors Degree in related field required.
Required Experience • Three (3) years in live event management, venue
management and/or professional audio and event production. • Experience in
management, training, and evaluation of teams, students or volunteers in a
structured environment is preferred.
The selected candidate will be required to complete a background check
