Computer Support Technician - (STA012339) Computer Support Tech

Description

Provides support for one or more LANS typically under the direction of a network or system manager. Provides hardware diagnosis, software support, workstation installation, and network backup.

Provides mainframe and micro-computer software support to users.

Monitors system usage; may provide and audit system reports.

Diagnoses system problems; may replace system components as required.

Backs up file server and restores data from tapes.

Installs software upgrades.

Installs and configures new workstations as required.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school and 1 year experience

Requires a basic knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and simple mathematical functions like percentages, ratios, etc. as might normally be acquired through attainment of a high school diploma or GED.Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience.
