Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Communications Manager to lead our strategic communications efforts. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive communication plans, fostering brand awareness, and maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop Communication Strategies: Create and implement comprehensive communication strategies aligned with the company's goals, brand positioning, and messaging to various stakeholders, including customers, investors, media, and the public.

Brand Management and Positioning: Manage and strengthen the company's brand identity through consistent messaging, storytelling, and positioning across all communication channels. Ensure brand integrity in all communications. Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with media outlets, journalists, and industry influencers. Proactively pitch stories, handle media inquiries, and manage press releases to secure positive media coverage.

Content Creation and Management: Oversee the creation of compelling content for various channels, including press releases, articles, blog posts, social media, website content, and marketing materials. Ensure content consistency and alignment with brand messaging.

Crisis Communication and Issues Management: Develop and implement crisis communication plans and protocols. Serve as the primary spokesperson during critical situations and manage communication strategies to protect the company's reputation.

Internal Communications: Develop and execute internal communication strategies to ensure alignment of messaging and information dissemination among employees across different departments and levels.

Events and Campaign Management: Plan and execute communication strategies for company events, product launches, trade shows, and campaigns to drive brand visibility and engagement.

Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor and analyze the effectiveness of communication strategies and campaigns. Provide regular reports and insights to senior management on communication performance metrics.


  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related field. Advanced degrees or relevant certifications are a plus.

  • Proven experience (X+ years) in communications, public relations, or a related role within the automotive industry, technology sector, or sustainable energy.

  • Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to craft compelling and impactful content.

  • Proficiency in managing media relations, crisis communication, and handling sensitive issues.

  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.

  • Experience in digital marketing, social media management, and familiarity with communication tools and analytics platforms.

  • Expected Salary Range: $67,000.00 -$165,000.00 a year.

    Additional compensation: Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.

    Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.

    The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above
