The UT Southwestern Medical Center Department of Anesthesiology and Pain Management seeks an outstanding critical care anesthesiologist with a strong interest in pursuing an academic career. Responsibilities include direct patient care as well as teaching and supervision of anesthesiology residents, fellows, medical students and other trainees.
Applicants must have or be able to obtain a Texas medical license prior to employment and be BC/BE with the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). Candidates are appointed as Assistant Instructors if they do not have board certification at hire and continued employment will be contingent upon receipt of ABA certification within two (2) years of initial hire date. Candidates with anesthesiology subspecialty training eligible for ABA subspecialty certification will be expected to obtain that certification within two (2) years of subspecialty training completion.

Consideration for appointment in these roles would be given to candidates with demonstrated training and/or experience in the field.
