About You As a Casual Sessional within Vocational Education, you will be mainly responsible for the delivery of course material, assessing students and the supervision of students enrolled in selected courses within the program.

You will participate in the program's continuing review of course content and development, delivery, teaching methods (including on-line delivery methods) and methods of students' assessment. Your performance will be underpinned by participation in relevant activities which ensure your vocational competence meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed.

We are looking for sessional teachers with industry currency to assist in subjects covering general plumbing.

Key Responsibilities · Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills, relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. · Strong presentation and facilitation skills, and in the use of flexible teaching methods. · Experience in competency-based assessment. · Skilled in diagnosing learning problems in students, propose and implement effective solutions.

Our ideal candidate will have:

· A qualification in the TAE40116 – Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or its equivalent; or higher-level qualification in adult education · Current industry experience within Plumbing · Demonstrated experience of teaching in Vocational Education is desirable. The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology usually known as RMIT University is a research university established in Melbourne, Australia. Francis Ormond laid the foundation for the university in 1887. It initially began as a night school where courses related to technology, art, and science were offered to students.
