What will you be doing at DeepL?

You will join a highly motivated team that collects, filters, processes, and assesses the quality of vast amounts of linguistic data. The resulting corpora are one of the key ingredients for training the machine learning models that enable our products to understand the intricacies of human language. Our team improves and extends our data processing algorithms and also designs and operates our large-scale computing systems, which run on hundreds of servers. You will collaborate with the team to improve the design and implementation of our performance relevant and architecturally challenging C++ code base, so that it becomes simpler to work with and more accessible to experimentation on a feature level.

About you

You have professional experience in modern C++ and its ecosystem.

You have a solid understanding of algorithms.

You are not afraid of working with legacy code bases.

You know your way around Linux systems and containers.

These are a plus:

- experience with distributed systems and parallelization - experience with code optimization - experience with computer networking - experience with container orchestration - a strong understanding of data centric systems and distributed task automation

You are a good communicator and team player.

You are fluent in English. If you speak another language on top of that, it is a plus.
