We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Automotive Painter to join our team. As an Automotive Painter, you will be responsible for refinishing and painting New truck bodies upfits, and protecting them from corrosion. If you have a passion for automotive painting and possess the following qualifications, we would like to hear from you.

What you'll do:

  • The painter exists under general supervision to perform work in paining, finishing and maintaining a wide variety of interior and exterior surfaces and structures
  • Scape welding slag and dirt buildup from surfaces inside and outside of the body
  • Preps and masks body components prior to paint application
  • Use basic hand tools, precision instruments, power tools, welding equipment and jacks
  • Participate and complete all company required safety trainings
  • Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most standard repair times
  • Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health and environmental policies and federal regulations to include OSHA, EPA, and air resource board
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as an automotive painter in a professional setting
  • Proficient in surface preparation, including sanding, masking, and repairing
  • Strong knowledge of different types of automotive paints, primers, and clear coats
  • Ability to match paint colors accurately and perform color blending
  • Skilled in using spray guns, adjusting air pressure, and achieving even paint coverage
  • Familiarity with proper paint mixing ratios and application techniques
  • Attention to detail and the ability to produce high-quality finishes
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to follow them to ensure a safe work environment
  • Good physical stamina and ability to perform physically demanding tasks, such as standing for long periods and lifting heavy objects
  • Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with other team members
  • Bilingual Spanish preferred but not required

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

    Considerable physical activity. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 50 lbs or more.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.
  • Must have the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
