Automotive Client Product Specialist

Job Description

Important : This is a hybrid position. You must be willing to work two days a week in your local Epsilon office as well as working west coast hours.

Product Specialist Responsibilities

  • Knowledgeable about client's automotive product specifications
  • Including details of trim level, accessories, features, options, colors, etc. by product
  • Works closely with client product engineers to receive and interpret engineering and design information
  • Build and maintain a library of client product resources for the agency
  • Validate marketing campaigns for product and usage accuracy
  • Analyze and interpret product attributes and market landscape to build competitive strategy
  • Analyze research collected by the client, industry leaders and other reputable sources to inform marketing strategy
  • Conduct competitive analysis to position client's products and identify media opportunities
  • Build and maintain a library of assets for the agency to leverage in marketing campaigns and track relevant usage rights
  • Manage legal and product specific content approvals
  • Provide product training and support to client Account and Creative teams
  • Follows automotive industry trends
  • Product Specialist Requirements

  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering, marketing, business administration, communications or related field
  • Must have 3+ years' experience working in Automotive Industry
  • Experience working with or agency teams
  • Strong understanding of product development, marketing, and relevant industry facts
  • Project management, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Technical background to connect with product engineers
  • Sensitive handling of strictly confidential information
  • Product Specialist Duties and Responsibilities

    The product specialist must have advance knowledge of automotive product strategy, testing, production and marketing. Working closely with the client's product planning department and engineers, to ensure campaign copy and content meets product specification and compliance. Knowing basic marketing principles helps when working with campaign creative.

    The product specialist will manage the product specific legal and compliance approvals prior to final creative review by the client. They will also advise account teams on industry trends and campaign suggestions based on target audience.
