Offer Description

The Department of Electrical Engineering is seeking a candidate for the position of assistant professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering Fundamentals and Electrical Technologies, within the scientific discipline of Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Space Technologies. The candidate should possess the skills to teach courses at the higher education level. It is expected that the candidate will conduct research and publish its results, demonstrate activity in obtaining research grants, actively engage in teaching activities, and also participate in the organizational work of the Department and the Faculty. The scope of scientific topics includes issues in the discipline of Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Space Technologies, consistent with the scientific profile of the Faculty, with an emphasis on applications in renewable energy. The candidate is expected to enthusiastically conduct teaching activities and also be involved in activities related to educational organization. The main directions of the candidate's future scientific activities should include conducting research in the specified discipline: Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Space Technologies, as well as actively participating in obtaining and implementing research projects and organizing education within the Electrical Engineering Department.

The candidate is expected that he/she:

- holds a doctoral degree in accordance with the scientific discipline of Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Space Technologies (Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or Automation, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, and Space Technologies, or Electrical Engineering, or Automation and Robotics)

- has proficient command of the Polish language in both speech and writing."

- can present and explain the results of the study.

- skillfully develops concepts, designs and performs scientific research,

- can explain the significance of the research results of the scientific community,

-takes responsibility for the development of his own scientific path,

-is author or co-author of journal publications and conference materials.

In addition, in terms of scientific achievements, it is expected to meet the minimums:

a) has published scientific articles in domestic or foreign journals, including a minimum of three from the Journal Citation Reports (Clarivate Analytics),

b) has experience as a reviewer in domestic or foreign journals

c) has a proven record of cooperation in the implementation of scientific research with industry.

The candidate is expected to have attended conferences:

a) domestic,

b) international.

In teaching, the candidate is expected to have:

a) a minimum of two years' experience in teaching including lectures, exercises and seminars in Polish or English at a university or equivalent academic institution,

b) knowledge of English at a minimum intermediate level,

c) experience in preparing teaching materials and/or laboratory stations,

d) publication record in the field of didactics,

e) proficiency in the Polish language in both spoken and written forms, enabling fluent teaching in this language.

In the case of winning a competition by a person who is employed under an employment relationship with another employer carrying out the following activities: research, research and teaching, research and development, implementation (except in cases specified in Article 125 para. 3 of the Act), and this employment does not expire by the date of employment at the Wrocław University of Technology as the primary place of employment, such person, in accordance with Article 125, paragraph 1 of the Act, taking into account Article 125, paragraph 2 of the Act, shall be obliged to obtain the consent of the Rector for additional employment under the employment relationship with another employer after his/her employment at the Wrocław University of Technology. If a person who is a business owner wins the competition, the requirement of Article 125, paragraph 7 of the Act must be fulfilled.
