Job Summary
The University of Kentucky, College of Health Sciences, Department of Athletic Training and Clinical Nutrition is seeking a full-time (12-months) non- tenure eligible, Research Title faculty member at rank determined by qualifications, to begin employment on July 1, 2023.
The College of Health Sciences, Department of Athletic Training and Clinical Nutrition is seeking a motivated individual who can contribute to an ongoing research agenda in the Sports Medicine Research Institute (SMRI) Equestrian Athlete Initiative as well as research in the Center for Innovation in Population Health (CIPH). The primary obligations of this position are to ongoing research initiatives including study coordination, data collection, and technical oversight of daily operations in the SMRI and CIPH. The person in this position must have a Ph.D. in Public Health or a closely related field. Additionally, this person should have experience with horse jockey health, as well as a background in epidemiology. This person will be expected to assist in fulfilling the research objectives of the Department of Athletic Training and Clinical Nutrition, to collaborate with other departmental and college faculty, and to provide mentorship to other research personnel including students, graduate student researchers, postdocs, and staff of the SMRI and CIPH. This position will be a 12-month appointment with option to renew contingent upon review and grant funding. The anticipated effort for this position is 95% Research/Scholarship and 5% Service.
