Assistant Operations Manager
The University has recently made significant investments into the campus sports facilities including investment at our outdoor sport site and a newly refurbished, state of the art gym at the Edge. This included the construction of the new football hub with 3 new FIFA Quality 3G rubber crumb pitches and a new pavilion. These facilities cater for over 16,000 members and users from a variety of backgrounds from international and student athletes to members of the local community.
We are looking to recruit an Assistant Operations Manager to have overall accountability for the facilities element of the business ensuring an efficient operation of the business and that staff are adhering to operational procedures and work practices and ensuring excellent customer service. You will have substantial experience of operating and managing a commercial facility within a customer service environment, with experience of managing, motivating and developing a large team. You will have a commitment to high standards of customer service. You will also hold a personal licence and have a Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate, or be willing obtain in three months.
This full-time role will work on a 5 over 7 shift basis and will include the requirement for you to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, University closure days and Bank holidays.
This is a 6-month opportunity will be initially based at our Outdoor Sports Facilities, however, there may be a need for flexibility to move across our Indoor Sports Operation areas.

In 1884 it merged with the Leeds School of Medicine (established 1831) and was renamed Yorkshire College.
