MD degree or equivalent

Required Related Experience

Completion of residency and fellowship as appropriate

Required License/Registration/Certification

Must obtain Kentucky medical licensure upon appointment and maintain throughout the term of the appointment

Must be appropriately credentialed and accepted as a member of the active staff at the University Chandler and Good Samaritan Hospitals, Kentucky Clinic and other sites deemed necessary by the Chair of Radiology

Board-certified or -eligible by the American Board of Radiology

Job Summary

The University of Kentucky, Division of Abdominal Radiology is expanding and seeks an exceptional radiologist for a full-time faculty position. Practice locations include the academic medical center in Lexington and a nearby community hospital in Frankfort, our state capital. We have two ACGME- accredited abdominal radiology fellows.

This position has been identified as supporting UK HealthCare, which receives funding from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services ( CMS). Therefore, all individuals hired into this position must comply with the federal CMS mandate issued in March of 2022. This mandate requires all new hires to provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or obtain an approved medical or religious exemption as a condition of employment. Start of employment cannot occur until two weeks after receiving the full COVID-19 vaccination series or upon obtaining an approved exemption. Only vaccines approved by the World Health Organization can be accepted.
