About the position
The Alumni and Advancement Office is responsible for philanthropic fundraising and engagement with La Trobe University's alumni community (230,000 as at November 2022). The Alumni and Advancement Office is an outwardly facing unit of the University and engagement with stakeholders is a major element of most activities undertaken.
The primary purpose of this position is to lead and grow the University's alumni engagement and communications programs. This position is responsible for setting and delivering the University's strategic approach for alumni engagement and communications. They are responsible for promoting participation and support across La Trobe's alumni community, in particular with the University's Make the Difference philanthropic campaign.
Working closely with the Chief Advancement Officer and senior leaders across the University, they will build an engagement program that raises the University's reputation and brand position among alumni as well as delivers to the Campaign goals.
