    The Opportunity

    Monash Rural Health (MRH) is seeking to appoint an Administrative Officer to support student accommodation bookings and property management in Gippsland.

    The Administrative Officer is the initial point of contact for inquiries from students, academics, professional staff, clinical staff and the general public. The position involves working collaboratively with Monash Rural Health staff to address key priorities like student support activities, placements, academic planning, reporting, and committee support.

    The position's core responsibilities span diverse administrative tasks: managing processes, providing services, responding to queries, advising on policy, supporting committees, project administration and producing reports. Additionally, it includes overseeing student accommodation bookings and coordinating payments and will also play a pivotal role in supporting medical students during clinical placements in Gippsland, prioritising student well- being and fostering positive rural placement experiences.

    The ideal candidate will bring a strong educational background or substantial relevant skills and work experience. The role necessitates excellent administration skills, a demonstrated capacity for effective operational processes, organizational proficiency for setting priorities and managing time and a commitment to excellence in customer service. A hands-on approach to service provision and the ability to navigate complex matters with tact, respect and sensitivity is also essential for success in this role.

    This position will involve travel to various locations, some of which are not easily accessible via public transport.
