This job performs instructional work in specific areas of music, i.e. voice, piano, guitar and other various instruments. It includes both classroom teaching and individualized instruction.

Minimum Required Education

Masters Degree from a nationally, regionally, or identified at the state level accredited institution of higher education including 18 graduate hours in Music. Outstanding experience/performance in the field(s) taught may count towards part of this requirement.

Minimum Required Experience

2 years post-secondary teaching preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

1. Highly skilled in instructional area. 2. Ability to communicate well and to utilize delivery systems as needed. 3. Ability to organize information. 4. Ability to keep accurate and complete records. 5. Ability to perform in public and assist students to perform in public in music area taught.
