Role Overview
Fisker Inc is looking for an experienced professional, who will manage and develop a team focused on accounting for inventories. The individual in this role provides strong functional knowledge of accounting for inventories applying US accounting principles to develop and implement policies and procedures through collaboration across the company including FP&A, marketing, program operations and finance, and related internal control over financial reporting effects.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement accounting policies and practices based on inventory accounting principles (ASC 330)
Preparation of lower-of-cost or net realizable value analysis
Oversee the development of methodology for estimating warranty reserves and design and implementation of related key internal controls
Evaluate the attribution of expenses to cost of goods sold related to performance obligations for vehicles, accessories, technology, services and over-the-air products
Manage inventory costing and analysis of BOM accuracy
Implement procedures and controls over accounting for returns
Design and oversee process for non-conforming parts and in-kind or cash consideration received from suppliers for warranty claims
Ensure period-end cut off procedures over inventories, including in- transit, operate effectively
Understanding of intercompany inventory transactions and procedures for elimination of intercompany profit in consolidation
Familiarity of accounting for the effects of fluctuations in foreign currencies upon both remeasurement and translation (ASC 830)
Responsible for all Ad Hoc information/analysis requests from the CEO, CFO/COO and CAO
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
Public company experience
Automotive OEM or Tier One Inventory Accounting
Demonstrated ability and enthusiasm to build processes and policies
Partners well with cross-functional teams and seeks to develop a culture of innovation, excellence, and openness
Self-starter who can work as part of a geographically diverse team.
Strong attention to detail; advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
Credible, ethical, understands the standards of a CPA; ability to always maintain professionalism
Responsive team player with ability to quickly prioritize among numerous pressing tasks
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex issues in plain language.
Strong computer literacy (i.e., Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SAP).
Must have ability to handle confidential matters and information, strong business acumen.
Ability to perform in a high-pressure environment, and be able to meet tight deadlines
Expected Salary Range : $67,340.00- $187,590.00
Additional compensation : Salary is one part of total compensation which includes bonuses, equity awards as applicable, and benefits. An employee is eligible to participate in Fisker's equity program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
Benefits: Fisker provides comprehensive medical, prescription, dental, vision, and disability insurance packages for full-time employees, their spouse or domestic partner, and children up to age 26. Coverage is effective on the first day of employment, and Fisker covers most of the premiums for employees.
The salary offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors including market location, job-related knowledge, education/training, certifications, key skills, experience, internal peer equity as well as business considerations. Fisker reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position within the salary range listed, taking into account the wide variety of factors listed above.
