The Accounting Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating the activities of the Accounts Payable department.
Essential Functions: 1. The Accounts Payable Office maintains financial information, files and records (e.g. copies of paid invoices, checks, documentation, reimbursements, reports, vendor files, receipts, etc.) for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines of the University. 2. Audit accounts payable checks requests in a manner to ensure timely payment of vendors. 3. Communicates frequently with faculty, staff and outside vendors both verbally and in writing on matters relating to accounts payable transactions; acts a liaison between departments and vendors. 4. Processes 1099 information and assists the Director with required reports and forms. 5. Provides support and documentation on internal processes for accounts payable as required for audit purposes. 6. Prepares and files unclaimed property for the university. 7. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Director.
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field 2. Minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in an accounting environment

8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
