About You
As an Academic Services Officer, you will assist in the delivery of a full range of activities related to the student life cycle including admission, credit assessment, enrolments, and assessment. You will also be involved in academic administration, supporting a range of program-based activities. You will work collaboratively with School Academic and Professional Staff providing clear, consistent, and accurate advice to support internal and external stakeholders, using outstanding communication and articulation skills. This role is focused on providing an important level of support through excellent customer service to staff and students. Working collectively as part of a team, you will be able to complete tasks accurately and in a timely manner, with the ability to apply relevant policies, practices, and standards.
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
Experience in working accurately with detailed information and providing high-level administrative support in a university environment or similar large and complex organisation.
Demonstrated experience and expertise in the provision of quality customer service, including sound knowledge and consistent application of relevant University policy and procedures and the ability to provide advice.
Well-developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills, with the ability to take the initiative in identifying and pursuing opportunities to improve existing practices and services.
Ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships with a wide range of groups, both internal and external to the University.
Demonstrated high level of computer literacy including word processing; data management; email; and web-based document management applications.
Proven ability to work effectively as a flexible team member committed to working in a collaborative way to achieve own and work team goals and priorities, and to continuous improvement.
Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
Knowledge and understanding of the tertiary education sector.
Qualifications:
A tertiary qualification, and/or significant practical experience in an administrative role in a tertiary institution.

The Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology usually known as RMIT University is a research university established in Melbourne, Australia. Francis Ormond laid the foundation for the university in 1887. It initially began as a night school where courses related to technology, art, and science were offered to students.
